Irrel waterfalls

26 apr
2021

Irrel Waterfalls on the Prüm River - located 5 km east of the Luxembourg border. A panoramic place with a beautiful gorge and a covered bridge towering over it. Nearby is the ruin of Prumerburg Castle. Another interesting piece is one of the three remaining bunkers of the Westwall - Katzenkopf in Irrell (you need to contact the local firefighters by phone to see the museum, visiting possible on Saturday or Sunday). If you decide to go to around Irrel (the waterfall, the castle, the bunker) loop is about 10km long.

Electric Powerplant no. 1 in Lodz

08 apr
2021

In 2010, I had the opportunity to take panoramic photos of the ruins of the oldest power plant in Łódź. EC1. The power plant looked like a Chernobyl back then. Today it is restored and you will not see these stains and peeling paint anymore. This is a virtual tour around something not existing anymore. There are about 30 panoramas linked together.

Hiking around the lake in Echternach

24 mar
2021

If you are going to the lake in Echternach and you want to avoid the crowds while walking (Luxembourg has only 1% of the country's surface with standing water - lakes are not a typical feature of the landscape) I recommend the autopedestre number 2 walking trail around Lake Echternach. The trail is beautiful, scenic, with quite gentle slopes (the descent is more difficult than the entrance) and mostly paved. The reward for climbing over one hundred meters is a wonderful view of the lake and the southern part of the town.

On the hills of Ierechlen

20 mar
2021

There are tons of fantastic hiking trails around Echternach. Three Autopedestre routes begin in the town. The famous Mullerthall is reachable within a few kilometers on foot. On the German side, it's also hard to complain about the lack of attractions for hiking fans ... however. There is a place that I got to know only thanks to the locals. An area with no hiking trails. A place where sometimes you may not meet anyone on forest roads ... These are the hills of the Ierelchen hill rising to the north of the town.

Foggy morning on the river Sauer

20 mar
2021

The microclimate of Echternach is very English. Every morning, fog sweeps across the Sauer Valley. Around 9:00, the sun clears the fog and depending on the weather, normal clouds or beautiful blue skies appear in the area. For fog fans, the conditions are great. A side effect of fogging is also a small amount of snow. Several days a year is snowed in in the Sauer Valley. In winter, it is enough to leave the valley to find huge snowy stretches of the Eifel mountains.

NDI Clock connected to Google calendar rendering transparent output from calendar rundown. I gave up building install as it grows crazy including all my libs into cython distro. I decided to go GitHub way. There is so lib of NDI SDK compiled for macOS Python3. If you want to run this program on Windows, you need to compile NDI SDK fork for python by yourself. I had no time to do it yet.
